This unidentified Stranded was one of the few non-mutated survivors living in the town of Mercy during the Lambent Pandemic. He, along with another male Stranded, decided to hole up in the town hall.

Mercy Epidemic
Seventeen years after Emergence Day, during the Lambent Pandemic, the town of Mercy was a busy Stranded camp with people coming in to trade goods. However, the town's people started to get sick and started to mutate into Formers due to constant exposure to Imulsion. Eventually when most of the population of the town had mutated, this Unidentified Stranded decided to barricade himself along with another male Stranded in the town hall near the town square.[1]

Mission to Mercy

Four months later, when Delta Squad arrived in the town looking to acquire some refined Imulsion to fuel a submarine, they quickly realized the town was virtually empty. The squad fought through hordes of Formers, which they realized were the town's citizens mutated by the Imulsion they needed, making their way to the town square. Once they arrived, they were attacked by a large group of Formers, however the Stranded balcony man told them that the Vulcan Gatling Gun at the entrance of the town hall still had some ammo in it and to use it against the incoming enemies. He then assisted the Gears by shooting some of the Formers with a Mark 1 Lancer Assault Rifle from the balcony of the building. Once all the Formers had been killed, he lowered two ladders so the squad of Gears could make their way up into the building. Once inside the building, Marcus Fenix thanked the balcony Stranded for assisting them. The balcony Stranded was genuinely surprised to see Gears in the town. He was then asked by Samantha Byrne if he was feeling ok due to all the other citizens being mutated. He replied by saying that he felt fine but that the other male Stranded he was held up with wasn't feeling to well. He along with the Gears walked over to the man laying on a mattress coughing. Dominic Santiago asked the balcony Stranded if this is how the sickness starts, with the Stranded replying that yes it was and stating that it wasn't just Rustlung. But before he could finish talking, two male Formers burst through a window across from him; one landed on him, tearing him apart in a matter of seconds killing the Stranded. The other Former landed on the sick Stranded male, tearing him to pieces as well.[2]
Personality and Traits
Unlike most Stranded, he is shown to have a friendly personality towards Gears and the COG, only commenting that they were the last people he expected to see in Mercy and providing them with backup against the Formers. Though he questioned if they knew the source of the sickness that was turning people Lambent, he did it without any sort of accusation like most of the Stranded do when the Locust or the Lambent attack and overrun their outposts.
