Timgad is major industrial city in Tyrus, located on the Jacinto Plateau near Timgad Valley. Timgad is separated into the two districts of East and West Timgad by the Tyra River, and is connected with the Timgad Bridge. The city is home to Nassar Memorial Park, The Palace Theater, Timgad Central Energy, and Timgad Station. Timgad is the neighboring city to Ephyra, the capital of the Tyrus and the Coalition of Ordered Governments (COG).
Due to the Jacinto Plateau's granite bedrock, Timgad was one of the few cities on Sera largely spared by the initial attacks of the Locust Horde. Several years after Emergence Day, Locust forces managed to occupy sections of the city. Other areas were either outposts defended by Gears of the COG Army or Stranded camps.
Timgad was one of the key cities involved in the Lightmass Offensive, in which the Lightmass Bomb was deployed from a Tyro Pillar in the Timgad Valley. Despite being a victory, the Imulsion from the Hollow was evaporated in the bombing, resulting in a pollution of Imulsion fumes and causing an epidemic of Rustlung among the inhabitants of Timgad.
History[]
Locust War[]
Lightmass Offensive[]
During the Lightmass Offensive, Delta-One had to play a game of cat and mouse with a Brumak in the area before they could reach the Lightmass Bomb.[1] It was at Timgad Station that they boarded the hijacked Tyro Pillar in order to ensure the successful deployment of the Lightmass Bomb.
Rustlung Epidemic[]
After the Lightmass Bombing, Timgad became a highly dangerous city for Rustlung, killing the Stranded in the city and infecting the rest (including Michael Barrick[2]). From the files at Jacinto Med, they made routes for the infected; almost everybody got this illness, including Sgt. Jonathan Harper who was stationed there.[3]
