Pad drinking a beer in The Mess.
The Mess was a bar established in Anvil Gate after it was reoccupied by refugees from the Coalition of Ordered Governments. It was one of the busiest bars in the town. Padrick Salton drank at the bar after returning from a long scouting trip. Col.Victor Hoffman arrived there to meet him after an hour of drinking, and Pad showed him a map to a Stranded outpost that was willing to trade with them.[1]
