IGN Article Backstory[]
I think their might be some miscommunication about her backstory written on her page here, it says in the article that she was active in the BB after the locust war which would actually be at the end of G3 and not G2. Page may need to be rewritten.-Iota-One (talk) 23:43, June 18, 2019 (UTC)
Clarification[]
Many characters in the books, comics, and even Anya in Gears 3 considered Operation: Hollow Storm "the end" of the Locust War. They flooded their only home and killed most of them. After the skirmishes in Port Farrall, most of Sera felt that the war was over.
Anya says, "We sank [Jacinto] and stopped the Locust Army. The war was finally over."
Prescott talks about in "Dirty Little Secrets" that since the war is over, they could focus on rebuilding and prepare for the Lambent threat next.
Both Anvil Gate and Sovereign parties were shocked to learn that more Locust were still around.
I think of it like the Battle of Aspho Fields. Even though the war continued for two more years, Aspho Fields is what solidified the COG's victory. All they did was destroy a ship with the Hammer of Dawn and they won. So Operation: Hollow Storm was pretty much a guaranteed victory overall for the humans.
