Rod Fergusson was the studio head of The Coalition.[1]
Fergusson joined Epic Games in 2005, and worked on Gears of War for the last 1.5 years of its development cycle. He was subsequently involved in various extents to every subsequent game in the series[2] until Gears 5. While he developed ideas for a sequel to 5,[3] Fergusson left The Coalition in March, 2020 to join Blizzard Entertainment,[4] to work on the Diablo franchise.[2] He has continued to follow the Gears series after leaving The Coalition.[5]
