A Remote Targeting System activated.
The Remote Targeting System is a large laser marker meant to be used in airstrikes. They are a secondary attachment for the Mega Mech and are used in conjunction with a King Raven Gunship.[1]
When a Mega Mech 'paints' a target with the Remote Targeting System, it feeds that information on the King Raven Gunship's Laser-Guided Rocket Pod, which allows the Gunship to fire its rockets with extreme accuracy and with tracking capabilities.[2]
Strategy[]
The Remote Targeting System is a guidance mechanic for the Laser-Guided Rocket Pod. Just press the left bumper to bring out the laser marker and point that laser to several units. A targeting reticule would highlight the unit and tells the player whether it is marked (red) or unmarked (white).
Once several units or less has been marked, release the trigger to allow the Gunship to fire its rockets at the targets. It only takes one rocket to destroy anything short of a Swarmak.
Behind the Scenes[]
- The Remote Targeting System acts in a similar vein as the Hammer of Dawn laser designator. Both 'weapons' are actually laser guidance tools meant to guide a much bigger and more powerful weapon to its target.
