The Mega Mech was a large, one-manned exo-suit manufactured and used by the Coalition of Ordered Governments. The Mega Mech is a militarized version of the Construction Mech.

Mega Mechs - just like their civilian counterparts - were equipped with the Industrial Staple Gun and had a built-in missile targeting system that could mark targets for airstrikes. Strength was also one of their assets, as each of the mechs steered by JD Fenix and Kait Diaz was able to break the neck of a Swarmak.

At some point between the first known deployment of a Mega Mech, and the Battle of Old Ephyra, Mega Mechs had their Industrial Staple Guns replaced with the Mega-Mech Gatling Gun.

History[]

Designed by DB Industries, Mega Mechs entered service some time after the Locust War and Lambent Pandemic ended.

In 42 A.E. the human forces assaulting the Tollen Dam and its swarm hive used two Mega Mechs with great success. Four months later, at least one mech, piloted by private Augustus Cole was used during the battle of Old Ephyra. While COG forces were slowing down the Swarm advance, Cole succesfully supported other Gears with his mech until one of the Kraken's tongues severed it in half. Cole survived that attack. Mega Mechs were also seen guarding the Government House in New Ephyra.
