The Marlin fast attack craft was an inflatable boat used by COG Commandos for fast, stealthy insertion into enemy territory. Sea Ravens were outfitted to launch and receive Marlins for quick picks up and exits.[1] The Marlin sported an aero and sea dynamic hull that allowed it to exceed average boat speeds, and could carry between 4 & 8 fully equipped Gears at a time. Several Marlins were used in the assault on Aspho Point during Operation Leveler.
Behind the scenes[]
- In Gears of War 4, during the Aspho Fields prologue scene and Aspho Fields mock-up in the Fort Reval Museum, COG Boats are used to represent the Marlins.
