KR Nine-Seven is a King Raven Mark 2 utilized by Delta-One during the Mission to OZP-11.

History[]

Swarm Invasion[]

Mission to OZP-11[]

As Kait Diaz, Delmont Walker, Garron Paduk and Damon Baird prepare for the Mission to OZP-11 at the Abandoned Airport, KR Nine-Seven suddenly arrives to bring JD Fenix and Fahz Chutani, much to the annoyance of the others as they initally believe that First Minister Mina Jinn has sent them to stop Delta Squad from launching the UIR's Hammer of Dawn satellites. However, much to Kait and Del's surprise, JD reveals that they have come without Jinn's knowledge to help them out. With Windflares making it too dangerous to fly across the desert, the squad leaves the King Raven parked at the airport along with Baird's Condor while they depart in the Skiff.[1]

After Baird departs with the Condor, Delta wonders how they will make it back to New Ephyra. Fahz suggests that he could fly the Raven back despite being reminded that he had crashed one once in training.[2]

As the UIR Rocket begins to launch from the UIR Turntable Launch Tower, Paduk suddenly appears in KR Nine-Seven to rescue Delta. After evading the Kraken's tentacles, Delta boards the Raven which flies away just before the rocket launches, sending the Hammer of Dawn satellites into orbit.[3]

Return to New Ephyra[]

Paduk flies KR Nine-Seven back to New Ephyra where he makes a rather rough landing outside of the Government House, complaining about the "stupid COG controls." Baird promises to have someone unload the Hammer of Dawn targeting beacons from the Raven while Delta cleans up and meets with Baird in his workshop to discuss the outcome of their mission.[4]

Behind the Scenes[]

  • It's unclear who initially piloted the King Raven to Vasgar since Delta joked about Fahz's bad record as a pilot while discussing options for returning to New Ephyra and only JD and Fahz were shown to disembark. In addition, Garron Paduk flew it back rather than another pilot.
