Krav Jermad was a Drone in the Locust Army during the Lambent and Locust Wars. Vurl (Sergeant) in the Bloodied Vanguard under Vold (Lieutenant) RAAM, he fought against the Lambent forces, Locust and other animals infected by Imulsion, in the Hollow. Jermad was known as being one of the most proficient snipers in the Locust Army. Assisting Vold RAAM, Acolyte Skorge, and Vold Karn in a coup against Uzil (High General) Sraak to convince Queen Myrrah to abandon the Hollow and colonize the surface of Sera, Jermad was promoted to Krav (Captain) of the Locust Army after RAAM was appointed High General. Jermad then led his own battalion against the humans of Sera following Emergence Day.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Much of Jermad's early life is unknown. He was born and raised in Nexus, the capital of the Locust Horde within the Inner Hollow underneath Mount Kadar. From an early age, Jermad was trained in combat and taught to be sadistic, brutal, and merciless towards any enemy. He was well skilled in the ways of using the Breechshot and went on to become a top marksman in the Locust army.
Lambent War[]
Joining the Locust Army[]
While being raised in Nexus, various creatures and Locust were becoming infected by Imulsion, transforming into the Lambent. The Lambent aimed to infect or kill any unaffected living organisms it could find, including the Locust. An epidemic swept the Hollow. The epidemic then became a war by 7 B.E., between the Locust Horde and Lambent fighting for occupation of Nexus and the Hollow. Jermad joined the Locust Army and fought against the Lambent, eventually becoming a the rank of Krav.
Siege of the Gorgon Front[]

Seven cycles after the onset of the Lambent War, Jermad was engaged in a battle alongside the rest of the Bloodied Vanguard against Lambent forces on the Gorgon Front in the Outer Hollow. After losing the outpost they were holding, Vold RAAM ordered Jermad to inform the Bloodied Vanguard. Jermad obeyed, and fell back to an overwatch position. He was then ordered to destroy an explosive canister on top of the outpost. Jermad killed a Lambent Wretch next to the canister with a headshot, and the Wretch's detonation created a domino effect which not only detonated the canister next to it, but the other fifteen inside the outpost.

After the battle, Jermad listened to Skorge speak to the Bloodied Vanguard of a vision he had seen; that the blight would rise from the ashes of this battle and that conquest and glory would soon be upon them. RAAM then ordered Jermad to assess the strength of the blight; injuries, deaths and fighting capability. He then joined the rest of the Bloodied Vanguard in following RAAM and Skorge into the Inner Hollow and to the doors of the Royal Palace. RAAM's negotiations with Uzil Sraak went sour, and the Bloodied Vanguard was sent back to the Gorgon Front in the South Hollow. While in the South Hollow, a fellow Drone alerted Jermad to rumbling above. Jermad took aim at the cavern roof and informed RAAM. The rumbling was a Corpser, which burst through the roof and attacked the Bloodied Vanguard.[1]

Defending the Temple of the Trinity[]

The Bloodied Vanguard defeated the Corpser, which had been sent by Sraak, and Jermad moved with the rest of the blight to the Expansion Hollow, personally accompanying RAAM in meeting with Vold Karn.[2] When Karn's blight was overrun by Lambent and the survivors fell back to the Temple of the Trinity, Jermad and the rest of the Bloodied Vanguard assisted in defending it. During the attack, Jermad shot and killed a Lambent Wretch that was about to kill Karn, saving his life.[3]

Locust War[]
Emergence Day[]
Jermad took part in the First Battle of Jannermont on Emergence Day. After killing Sraak, RAAM ordered the two Theron Guards who helped him to present their Blight to Jermad, his new Krav. Jermad would lead their assault on Jannermont and together they could revel in all future victories and slaughter the humans.[4]
Personality and Traits[]
Jermad was a fierce warrior and member of the Bloodied Vanguard. He was under RAAM's blight of Locust and had the upmost respect for him. He always obeyed orders and would even turn on his own if he was ever instructed to do so. He, like many other Locust wished nothing more than the extinction of the Humans of Sera and the Lambent which the Bloodied Vanguard called "abominations". Jermad rose through the ranks under RAAM's command. Proving his worth as a warrior to which even RAAM noticed. He was promoted from Vurl to Krav during the Lambent War.
