Jasper was a city on the island of Kaia in the South Islands. Michael Mataki and his family moved here from Lake Station after the birth of his granddaughter, Philippa Jane.

Locust War[]
Six months after Emergence Day,[1] Jasper was attacked by the Locust Horde after they attacked the city of Autrin. This was followed by an assault on Kaia island.[2]
