Harbor is a multiplayer map in Gears of War 4, set during a stormy night. A lever can be found at the Longshot/EMBAR spawn, which will activate a foghorn.
Harbor was ported directly to Gears 5 for use as a Private Play-exclusive map at launch. It uses the same art as in Gears of War 4, but with enhanced graphical quality.[1]
Harbor Haze[]
A "Haze" version of Harbor was introduced as part of a free map DLC that Season Pass owners could play exclusively from September 5th, 2017.[2] It became available to all players on September 12th, 2017, but is only available for private play if the Season Pass has been purchased or the map is separately downloaded.
Harbor Haze is set during the day, and has been graphically updated. It also features mist that will roll across the map, decreasing visibility dramatically and allowing opportunities for surprise attacks. An alarm will alert players to the mist, which will disappear and reappear regularly throughout a match. After the mist rolls in, the Boomshot can be accessed from its container near where the grenade spawn used to be. Other weapon changes have also been made; the Bolo Grenades no longer cycle with Incendiary Grenades and now spawn where the Dropshot used to, the Boltoks have been replaced with Markzas, and the Longshot/EMBAR has been replaced with a Torque Bow.
Behind the scenes[]
To unlock the Easter Egg, players need to shoot various Leviathan-like carvings (placed all over the map, typically in obscure locations that need the Longshot). Once all six have been shot in order, a seventh will appear in front of the lever. After shooting it, activate the lever, and a giant Leviathan will appear from the water in front of the Frag Grenade spawn before diving back down.
