Halvo Bay Military Academy

The Halvo Bay Military Academy was a Coalition of Ordered Governments Army institution in Halvo Bay. Among other training programs and functions, the academy trained Gears to join the elite Onyx Guard unit. Sofia Hendrik was a known trainee and graduate of the Onyx Guard Academy. The UIR sent spies into the Academy during the Pendulum Wars, but they all defected to the COG.

Enfield Bridge

The bridge led to the main entrance of the Academy and appeared to be heavily fortified with turrets. However, the Locust likely placed them there after the Academy was overrun. A significant part of the bridge sustained heavy damage caused by Reavers storming the Academy during Locust Tactician Karn‘s Assault on Halvo Bay,

Monroe Commons

Monroe Commons was one of the teaching halls but was also the main area many of the Locust attacked from. By the time Kilo Squad arrived, lots of the hall was on fire, with a few Locust remaining.

Courtyard

The Courtyard was another one of the Academy’s sections. It would be Occupied by the Locust after successfully overrunning the Academy before the Locust occupying the Courtyard would be killed by Kilo Squad during their mission to retrieve the Targeting Beacon after fighting their way through the Enfield Bridge. Kilo Squad would also have their first encounter with a few Locust Ragers which they dispatched of. Cadet Hendrik claimed that a fail safe implemented by the Academy Headmaster(s) during the Pendulum Wars in case the UIR Overran the Academy was tripped, which would release Poisonous Gas on Academy Grounds. However, that detail was omitted from Colonel Ezra Pound Loomis‘s Report. The Atrium was connected to the Courtyard,

R&D Labs

The Labs were the section of the Academy in which professors and cadets tested new equipment. It was also a JACK bot workshop. In here, Professor Elliot and many of his colleagues designed new equipment and weapons for the COG. Most of the labs and the scientists working there were destroyed when the Locust attacked the Academy.
