The Gorgon-Hammerburst Rifle was a modified version of the standard Hammerburst Assault Rifle used by the drones.
It was a hybrid weapon consisting of the stock from a Hammerburst with the ammofeed and magazine of a Gorgon.
This weapon was most commonly seen during the war between the locust and the lambent. The most notable character to wield it was Skorge.
Skorge using a Gorgon-Hammerburst rifle to defend the Temple of the Trinity and Vrol from a horde of lambent wretches.
It combines the fast fire of the Gorgon with the stability of the Hammerburst, providing a unique blend between a light machine gun and an assault rifle.
Behind the Scenes[]
- It is possible that this weapon was a precursor to the Gorgon Submachine Gun, and that the design would later be opted for the Kantus.
- The weapon might have been replaced by either the Gorgon and the Hammerburst II.
- Due to it being modified, the design would have been unorthodox, as such, not a lot of these models were produced which made this weapon somewhat rare.
