A Gondola Lift is a type of cable car used to transport personnel via a overhanging cable. The high suspension of the cable allows the car to move without hitting buildings from below.[1]
These cars are used for tourist traps but they are also used to transport people in difficult terrain such as mountain ranges.
Multiplayer[]
These cars are only seen on the map Gondola and in the epilogue in Gears of War: Judgment as a level hazard.
In Gondola, they act as a moving prop on Coastal Villa Apartments, the tourist town of in the Agora Foothills.
Players can board and disembark on the vehicle as it transports them from either the bottom or at the top of the map. You can use these vehicles as a temporary sniper nest to gain some added elevation.[2]
