Gas Masks are masks put over the face to prevent the wearer from inhaling airborne pollutants and toxic gases. They were used by people, most often Imulsion platform workers, who didn't want to breathe in the toxic fumes of Imulsion.
History[]
Pendulum Wars[]
Several Tyran towns, such as Mercy, had shelters constructed in the event that the Union of Independent Republics bombed them. In the case of Mercy, their bomb shelter was placed underground, near a subterranean Imulsion reserve. Shelter occupants were required to wear gas masks for any extended period of time due to the toxic fumes the Imulsion gave off.
Lambent Pandemic[]
Seventeen years after Emergence Day, gas masks would continue to be used by the Halvo Bay Stranded who worked on an Imulsion rig that was washed ashore by the Sinking of Jacinto. Delta Squad, comprised of Damon Baird, Augustus Cole, Garron Paduk and Clayton Carmine, would later equip these masks in order to traverse the platform's fuel room.
