The Duke of Tollen's Regiment was a Coalition of Ordered Governments military unit that fought against the Republic of Gorasnaya during the Pendulum Wars. The regimental badge included a trident.
Unit History[]
Pendulum Wars[]
During the Pendulum Wars, the Duke of Tollen's Regiment fought the Republic of Gorasnaya. Many members of the regiment were captured in battle, and sent to the prisoner of war and forced labor camp in Ramascu, where many of them died due to poor conditions and mistreatment at the hands of the guards. The survivors gained an undying hatred of the Gorasni for their actions.[1]
Locust War[]
The Duke of Tollen's Regiment continued to operate during the Locust War. Emil Estrom was a member of the unit, and was killed in a battle against the Locust.[2]

Pelruan[]
A memorial was set up in the town of Pelruan on the island of Vectes that honored the regiment, after many of its members retired there.[1] When the town was attacked by a Lambent Leviathan in 15 A.E., veterans of the regiment, led by Cpl. Frederic Benten, volunteered to help defend the town. They were placed under the command of Sgt. Bernadette Mataki, and ordered to assist a squad of Gorasni soldiers, who had joined the COG with the rest of their country. Benten and the others disliked this, and refused to back them up until Bernie reminded them that they were Gears, and that others depended on them doing their job even if they hated it.[3] Once the battle ended, Lt. Anya Stroud thanked them for their help, and allowed them to stand down.[4]
