Emma lived with her family in the Stranded camp of Fucked, until she and her husband went to Montevado for supplies, leaving their daughter behind out of fear that it would be too dangerous.[1] However, they were attacked by Wretches, leaving her badly wounded, with her hand bitten off and an infection setting in, and her husband dead. She was later saved by a group of Stranded and picked up by Delta-One, who sent her back to Jacinto for medical treatment, where she was watched over by her daughter and Jace Stratton.[2] She was still in a coma three months later.[3]
