The Elite Sawed-Off Shotgun[1] is a weapon that's used by the Theron Elite. It functioned very similarly to the basic Sawed-Off, but was modified by the Locust.
The Elite Sawed-Off is one of three 'hybrid' weapons used by the Locust Horde, with the other being the Gorgon-Hammerburst Rifle and RAAM's Troika. Like these weapons, they are unconventional by design and are thus, rare.
It had two bayonets protruding out of the bottom of the gun, which makes the weapon lethal even when the Theron Elite is reloading his weapon.
Strategy[]
As aforementioned, the Elite Sawed-Off functions similarly to the normal Sawed-Off, but there is one key differences, which is the two bayonets. This allows the user to charge into opponents, impaling them, and shooting them off the blades.
Execution[]
The execution of the Elite Sawed-Off is the same as the normal one, in which the Theron Elite would break the necks of the downed victim with the unhinged barrels.
There is also the previously mentioned charge, which is a slight variant of the Retro Lancer charge, but with the Theron Elite blasting the opponent in half after impalement.
Behind the Scenes[]
- The weapon was first introduced in the RAAM's Shadow DLC.
- This weapon bears some resemblance to the Super Shotgun with the Meat Hook attachment in Doom Eternal.
