Elinor Lytton-Baird was the mother of Damon Baird and wife of Magistrate Jocelin Baird.

When Elinor discovered that Damon wanted to attend a mechanical engineering school, she became outraged that he would disrespect her family's name by working a job like that. She demanded that her husband either force Damon to join the army, or cut him off from his inheritance. This apparently led to Baird to becoming spiteful of his mother as a result.
