The Breaker Mace was a Swarm melee weapon used to bludgeon opponents. Crystal fragments from Locust Shells were affixed to a motorized rod with rotating segments, so that when activated, the weapon's crystal teeth would rotate as the wielder swung it. This made the Breaker Mace highly lethal at close range.
The Mace gives the user a notable armor boost, suriving even a direct hit of a Gnasher Shotgun at close range, albeit at the expense of the Mace's durability.
The Mace has two forms of attack: a light attack in which the use swings the Mace from side to side like the Butcher Cleaver, and a strong attack in which the user charges up before slamming the mace down on the floor, causing a small explosion.
Execution[]
The user lodged the Breaker Mace's 'teeth' on the back of the victim, ruthlessly drag the victim on the floor though an arching motion before throwing them from afar.
Behind the scenes[]
- There are two cosmetic variants of the Breaker Mace available in the Gears 5 campaign. One is the Pipe, which can be picked up only during Dirtier Little Secrets, the fifth chapter of Act II. The second is a Breaker Mace with a unique skin with the appearance of a fish impaled on a tree branch, a hidden easter egg that can be found in Shot in the Dark, the first chapter of Act I. Neither variant functions differently from the original Breaker Mace.
