The Battle of the Museum of Military Glory was one of the biggest battles during the Destruction of Halvo Bay. The Locust Army, led by Zamil Karn, began their occupation of Halvo Bay shortly before. In order to have a forwarding operations base within Halvo Bay, Zamil Karn selected the Museum of Military Glory to overrun and occupy it due to its size, location, and fortified walls. The Museum was heavily guarded by Gears and the Onyx Guard and managed to defend the museum until Zamil Karn and his personal Shibboleth mount emerged to eradicate the humans and take the museum for himself. Despite a valiant defense, the COG lost the Museum of Military Glory - which then would later cost them the battle for Halvo Bay itself, causing them to destroy it in order to deny the Locust the spoils of Halvo Bay and its historic military presence.
Prelude[]
As the Old Town district was overrun by the Locust - they began an attack on the Museum of Military Glory. Requesting for assistance, Col. Loomis advised all nearby squads, including Kilo Squad, to assist the Gears and Onyx Guard at the museum. However, Col. Loomis ignored Lt. Baird of Kilo Squad's warning about the large creature that destroyed their convoy and was still present somewhere nearby.
After Old Town was destroyed by both the Locust and the COG with unauthorized Hammer of Dawn strikes, Kilo Squad arrived at the Museum's rear entrance in the Museum Gardens where the Onyx Guard was defending the museum against incoming Locust. Kilo Squad managed to clear the Museum Gardens and defended the rear from multiple counter-attacks before entering the Museum of Military Glory's Main Hall and assisting the Onyx Guard.

Kilo Squad managed to evade One-Shot sights while slowly navigating the Gardens and eliminating the Locust forces. After clearing the Gardens, a counterattack ensued behind them as Kantuses and Boomers emerged from the buildings and onto the streets. Kilo managed to defeat the patrol, secure the Gardens, and entered the Museum of Military Glory.
